Not the End

Making our way back to school has been a little rough, but it was quite an experience to work on what started as a small project. Now that we have work and assignments to keep busy with, many of us have left the site where it was. However, we must not forget that the end of the strike is not the end of the vast fight for education. In order to help our schooling in the right direction, we feel that a student voice is needed to be out there. Therefore, this is not the end for us, but a bigger project to undertake.

Rumors

Dear all students,

There has been rumor of a student walk-out tomorrow:

The day back from the job action all students are planning on doing a student walk out. If there is school monday all students should not attend. This is a protest against the teachers and government for not taking our education seriously. Please forward this to anyone on your list if you also felt that this delay in the strike was unnecessary.

There isn't not much reason behind this plan, because this will only make teachers look bad and waste class time in the process. If you truly felt the strike was unnecessary, voice it in a different way. Remember that, we have been off for two weeks and things are going to move fast. If you miss a class now, you're going to miss a lot. By walking out, you aren't taking your education seriously. Stay in class!

Rally #1 Reflections, 2

It truly was a good turn out for a rainy day!
My feet are still very cold, but I feel that it was worth it to see the teachers so happy.
Thank you to everyone that came and were soaking wet with us.
It was truly a remarkable experience and I know we made an effect on both teachers and the community. Thank you to the media and everyone that honked their car horns for us.
Who do we support? Give me a: T, E, A, C, H, E, R!...and an S!

Take care all and don't get sick,
-Milton

PS. Kaegan, you're up!
PPS. Hmm, this was supposed to be on top of Lauren's post...
